Lil Wayne and Birdman might not be speaking to each other and act as though the situation is irretrievable but 50 Cent, in an interview with MTV News, said he is sure they will eventually make up and that the situation will “work itself out.” Later in the interview, he also said: I hate when personal things become public, because everyone speculates on things that they don’t really know about. I just know that they had a father and son relationship, and that could easily be something they communicate between the two of them, and resolve instead of having everybody else involved in it.” The much-publicized legal battle between the rapper and the co-founder of Cash Money Records has turned up a notch in recent weeks, but 50 Cent doesn’t think this is reason enough for others to get involved. He believes that those outside of the matter should watch their words, and compared Lil Wayne and Birdman's relationship to a daughter and mother in terms of closeness. When they forgive each other – and 50 Cent is entirely confident they will – they may not forgive the outsiders who offered their unwanted opinions on this delicate moment of their personal and professional lives.

Kendrick Lamar kuachia “The Heart Pt. 4”?

Will you let hip-hop die on October 22nd? This was the question Kendrick Lamar asked his fans back in 2012, a couple of days before his critically acclaimed major label debut album good kid, m.A.A.d city got released. It served as a closing line in his Ab-Soul and Jay Rock-assisted song "The Heart Pt. 3." Could the fourth instalment to the track series be on the way before K. Dot liberates his new LP?
Overnight, co-president of TDE, Terrence “Punch” Henderson, raised the spirits by posting a cryptic message on Instagram. Publishing a black square, he captioned the void snap "Heart.", hinting at a possible addition to the iconic sequence. What is more, yesterday Punch put out a tweet, which reads "The N." Does this stand for "The end."? If so, could this mean Kendrick Lamar's project is now completed and submitted to the label, and with "The Heart Pt. 4" on deck, TDE is ready to execute the exact same plan they did almost 3 years ago? 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards Nominations

The 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awardsnominations were announced

Kendrick Lamar — who recentlycontroversially boasted that he’s the “King of New York” — leads the nominees with 14 nods.

Drake is close behind with 13 nominations, followed by J. Cole with 10.

Snoop Dogg will host this year’s show, which will tape in Atlanta on September 28, and air on BET on October 15.

ASAP Rocky Addresses Kendrick Lamar’s “King Of New York” Claim

Harlem native A$AP Rocky was asked to share his thoughts on Kendrick Lamar’s infamous “King of New York” declaration in his controversial guest verse on Big Sean’s “Control” track. Rocky didn’t take it too serious.

He laughed off Kendrick’s claim, but acknowledged that the verse has gotten a lot of artist attention and doesn’t see any problem.

“I feel like—I mean, that king of New York sh*t, you smoking crack. Like you crazy. You know what I mean?” Rocky told Funkmaster Flex.
“Honestly though, K-Dot and them n***as, that’s fam yo,” Rocky said. “I think hip hop need this sh*t, man. It’s n***as who’s pissed off just because they wasn’t mentioned. I just feel like I don’t understand how the n***a never—I’m not justifying sh*t, n***a. Rap is rap, my n***a. The n***a didn’t say nothing about nobody mother. N***a ain’t say he wanted the five minutes from nobody. He said ‘These is my n***as and I’m letting y’all know it’s competition.’ What’s the problem?”

Lil Wayne Comments On Current State Of Hip Hop

Lil Wayne recently had an interview with XXL Magazine. The Louisiana-native shared that he doesn’t really follow the present hip hop music or stay up on what’s popular and that he listens more to old school hip hop.

Wayne admitted that he does, in fact ,still listen to new, fresh artists such as A$AP Ferg and Odd Future, but he’s not in on what’s hot.

“I don’t know where hip-hop is at. I just listen to the old stuff, and my television stay on SportsCenter. Even when I’m flipping through the channels, I stumble across MTV or BET or whatever, if I stop and watch that video it’s because I haven’t seen that video. I’m so amazed. I don’t know if it’s new. I don’t know who the person is.”

Wayne also reveals that he’s been on his skateboard more than in the studio lately. He went on to describe his I Am Not A Human Being II as “underground.”

Chris Brown To Retire After Next Album

According to Chris Brown’s personal Twitter account, the 24 year old singer may have had enough of the lime light and seems to suggest in his tweets that he will soon retire.

8:27 AM – 6 Aug 2013 @chrisbrown- “ Don’t worry mainstream America.After this X album, it’ll probably be my last album.”

Brown later tweeted about the negative press his has received over the years due to his 2009 assault of Rihanna and admits that he’s over paying for a mistake he made when he was 18 years old.

8:34 AM – 6 Aug 2013 @chrisbrown- “Being famous is amazing when it’s for ur music and talent. I’m tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I’m cool & over it!”

The tweets come a day after the singer reportedly handed himself in to Los Angeles’s Van Nuys’ jail for his hit-and-run incident.

DJ Khaled Says Proposal To Nicki Minaj Was A Joke

It comes as no surprise but DJ Khaled has stepped forward to say his marriage proposal to Nicki Minaj was nothing but a joke but rather a “dope plan” to present his latest single,”I Wanna Be With You.”

“The proposal, I was just having fun with it,” DJ Khaled says in an interview with Virginia radio station Power 92.1. ”I just wanted to show love and bring some excitement for my fans to connect with the record…I just wanted to tap into the emotion of the record.”

Nicki Minaj Goes Off On Ghostwriting Claims

Nicki Minaj’s former collaborator, Ransom got many people talking when he released his song “Man Alone”. In the song, Ransom has lyrics that imply that he was ghostwriting verses for Minaj back in her earlier career.

TMZ went on to ask Minaj about the rumors, which were not taken lightly. Minaj dissed both Ransom and the claims against her.

“What?” she said. “I rap better than him. Who the f**k is he, crazy?”
“Yo, I’m not even a man and n***as got my d**k in their mouth. Are you serious?” she continued. “I’m undisputed because I’m the only female rapper, that, day one, I don’t need no motherf**king ghostwriter. So if you tellin’ that lie, you must be real f**king desperate and you still ain’t gunna pop. How ’bout that?”

Drake Discusses His Rap Image With XXL Magazine

Young Money’s Drake talks about his rap image and why he has no desire to be anybody but himself in the new XXL Magazine.

Based on an excerpt from his interview, the rapper states that he’s comfortable with himself but doesn’t know if many artists can say the same.

“Do I think that if I didn’t have, for lack of a better term, a unique look about me, if I was from somewhere in America and if I hadn’t been on a kids TV show [Degrassi: The Next Generation], would I be as famous? I don’t know, man. Honestly, I don’t think so. I was just some young kid on a TV show. And I haven’t become anything else while I’ve been in this position. It’s not like I got here and was like, “Oh, got to switch up my image.” I don’t wake up nervous. I feel like maybe a lot of these guys do. How old are you, really? What is your background, really? Baada ya Linah kutafutwa kuhusiana na taarifa hizo akafunguka namna hii

VladTV-Hip Hop High School Lil Wayne HQ Tonefuse J.Cole Discusses “Baby Mamas” & “Born Sinner” Release Date

J. Cole is making sure he is everywhere this new year, not only by dropping a free EP, Yours Truly, but also by doing interviews such as the one he did the other day with Power 106′s Rikki Martinez (@RikkiMaa). On air, the two discussed his new EP, baby mamas and when we can expect Born Sinner.

Rikki started off the interview by asking Cole about his continuation for rapping about baby mamas, but in a different way than most rappers in the game. In particular, she brings up the Lauryn Hill-sampled track, “Rise Above,” on Yours Truly.

In discussing the theme of the track, he said, “In terms of theme, that’s something that is missing, like you said. It’s not even a love song, it’s more [about] a friendship. Talking about women as friends, ’cause we do have female as friends, it’s either a love song or hate song when it comes to women, no in between, and I was giving more of a realistic view of a relationship between a man and woman.”

Although the content of the song is strong, it won’t appear on Born Sinner, simply because Cole doesn’t want to have to clear the sample. “I figured I probably couldn’t clear the sample. I wouldn’t even wanna try honestly ’cause that’s like about her son,” he said.

When will Born Sinner be released? Cole says close to Tupac’s birthday (June 16th). And finally on if we’ll see the Kendrick and J. Cole collaborative project by the end of the year, the rapper says, ”It’s possible. We might see that completion of that album this year, I don’t know if we’ll see the actual release.”

Nicki Minaj To Launch A New Clothing Line with Kmart This Year

Just when you thought American Idol was the only major side-gig for the New York Pop star she adds another. Nicki Minaj and Kmart announced today that they will join forces and release a clothing line in 2013.

Sears Holdings, the owner of Kmart and its affiliate website ShopYourWay.com, has teamed up with Minaj and Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine to launch a series of new clothing lines. Nicki’s will host a variety of lifestyle products, which will include apparel and accessories. She expressed her enthusiasm for her new line in a statement.

“I am so excited to work with this iconic, mass retailer and to bring affordable fashion to my beautiful barbz all across the US.”

Minaj and Levine’s new lines will debut toward the end of the year.
