Didier Drogba agrees Galatasaray switch

Didier Drogba has agreed an 18-month deal with Galatasaray, according to reports in Turkey.
The Ivory Coast international, who is currently representing his country at the Africa Cup of Nations, left Chelsea last summer after cementing his reputation as one of the club's greatest ever players.
Drogba scored 157 goals in eight seasons at Stamford Bridge before departing for Chinese outfit Shanghai Shenhua, and slammed home the match-winning penalty in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich last May.
The former Marseille forward also scored what proved to be the winner in Chelsea's 2-1 win in the FA Cup final over Liverpool last season.
Since leaving Chelsea, rumours have been rife that Shanghai have struggled to pay Drogba's wages, believed to be in the region of £200,000-per-week, while it has also been reported that the 34-year-old has struggled to settle in the Far East.
Now according to Eurosport and Turkish broadcaster LigTV, Drogba has agreed a deal to join Galatasaray. The Turkish club recently added Inter Milan playmaker Wesley Sneijder to their ranks, despite rumours linking the Dutchman with a move to the Premier League. Juventus have previously been linked with a move for Drogba.
Nicolas Anelka, who also left Chelsea last season to head for China, has returned to Europe, and is on the verge of signing a short-term loan deal with Serie A outfit Juventus.
