Goals of the weekend: January 26-27

Oscar
Brentford 2-2 Chelsea
Oscar may have only been playing in England for half a season, but the young Brazilian has already garnered somewhat of a reputation as a scorer of the spectacular.
The 21-year-old Chelsea midfielder already has stunning strikes against Juventus and Shakhtar Donetsk in the scrap book, and the weekend goal versus Brentford was just as good.

Giovani Dos Santos
Mallorca 2-3 Malaga
Giovani Dos Santos is now plying his trade permanently in La Liga with Mallorca after a failed spell with Tottenham and, although he has hardly been pulling up trees, the Mexican looks more settled in Spain.
Dos Santos proved at the weekend he is playing with a confidence unseen arguably since his Barcelona days when he scored a sublime free-kick, albeit in vain, against Malaga.

Ricky van Wolfswinkel
Sporting CP 1-1 Guimaraes
Ricky van Wolfswinkel is a player who has been on the radar of Manchester United for some time, as previously confirmed by Mike Phelan, and the Dutchman is doing his prospects of a transfer to Old Trafford no harm at the moment.
Van Wolfswinkel has netted 20 times in 37 league starts for Sporting CP, and showed his class with a smart backheeled finish in his most recent outing.

 Olivier Giroud
Brighton 2-3 Arsenal
Olivier Giroud may not be Robin van Persie, but the Arsenal striker continues to proves how important he can become for the Gunners in the seasons to come.
The France international scored twice in the Saturday victory against Brighton in the FA Cup, the first of which was a left-footed belter.

Fernando Torres

Brentford 2-2 Chelsea

Chelsea fans appear to be finally growing tired of Fernando Torres' profligacy in front of goal, particularly since the arrival of Demba Ba, but his goal against Brentford may afford the Spaniard some relief.

Ba was the creator for Torres on Sunday afternoon - feeding his strike partner on the edge of the box, before the latter curled into the top corner to spare Chelsea's blushes.
