Of those games since, United have won ten and drawn two, turning over Liverpool, Newcastle and Manchester City amongst others, with the only dropped points coming in away trips to Tottenham Hotspur and Swansea.
Bayern Munich are on the second longest unbeaten run with eight victories and three draws from their last 11 league matches, the most recent of which was a 3-0 away win over Mainz 05 at the weekend.
The German giants are 12 points clear of reigning champions Borussia Dortmund at the top of the Bundesliga table, thanks to their impressive charge which began after a 2-1 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen on October 28, 2012.
The scintillating streak becomes all the more inspiring when you consider the upheaval surrounding the future of manager Jupp Heynckes, who recently announced he would be standing down at the end of the season, with former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola taking over at the Allianz Arena from the start of 2013/14.
Tottenham have the third best set of recent results, having extended their record to nine games without defeat, after Gareth Bale secured three points with a stunning solo goal in the club's 1-0 win over West Brom on Sunday.
Andre Villas-Boas's last Premier League loss came on December 9, when Spurs fell to a 2-1 defeat against Everton at Goodison Park - a run that has helped strengthen their push for Champions League qualification via a top four finish this season.
Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain fall behind Tottenham having not been beaten for eight games. Recently boosted by the high-profile signing of David Beckham - who penned a short-term contract until the end of the season - Carlo Ancelotti will be hoping to prolong a run of form that has delivered seven wins and one draw since PSG's 2-1 loss at Nice back on December 1.

Italian rivals Napoli and reigning Premier League champions Manchester City are just behind Torino having not lost in their past six league outings. The Azzurri have registered five wins and one draw since going down 3-2 to Bologna on December 16, while Roberto Mancini's Citizens have a slightly less impressive record of four wins and two draws since their 1-0 Boxing Day defeat to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
In stark contrast to these impressive runs, Chelsea appear to be all at sea under the interim management of Rafa Benitez. They have won only two of their last six Premier League games, with last weekend's 3-2 defeat to Newcastle coming off the back of consecutive draws against strugglers Reading and Southampton.
The Blues last victory came at home to Arsenal on January 20, who themselves have recorded two wins and a draw since back-to-back defeats against Manchester City, prior to the loss at Stamford Bridge.
