The Manchester United veteran put Sir Alex Ferguson's side 1-0 up against Everton to extend a remarkable run of netting in every top flight campaign he has played in
After opening the scoring against Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs has extended his record of goalscoring seasons with the Premier League leaders to 23.

The Welshman's goal against the Toffees is his first in the league this season, after he netted twice against Chelsea in the Capital One Cup and once in the FA Cup rout of Fulham at the end of January.

Giggs, 39, first made his debut for the club in 1991, and has a return of 169 goals for the Old Trafford club, leaving him eighth in the club's all-time scoring charts.

He has since made more than 900 appearance for Manchester United, and is the club's all-time leading appearance maker and has won almost all of the major honours available in the domestic game, including: 12 Premier Leagues, two Champions League crowns, four FA Cups, four League Cups, a European Cup Winners Cup and Uefa Super Cup.

He also has 64 caps for Wales, and represented Team GB at last summer's football tournament at the London Olympics.
