Arsenal & Manchester United to hold £12m England winger talks

Arsenal and Manchester United will both hold talks with highly-rated Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha this week, according to reports.
Goal.com claims the Gunners have dramatically re-entered the race for the £12million-rated England international, and are now going head-to-head with the Red Devils in the race for the player’s signature.
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was the strong favourite to land the player this month, according to the report, but now have a ’50-50’ chance of landing the player alongside Arsenal.
Sources went on to tell the website that both Premier League clubs are set to meet with Palace’s co-chairman, Steve Parish, at some stage in the coming days, but that the final decision on a move will rest with the player himself.
The Gunners have been courting the Ivory Coast-born winger for some time now, with manager Arsene Wenger confirming back in November that he was on the Emirates Stadium radar.
"We are looking at every player who could strengthen our squad - but he is not more on the list than anyone else," said the Arsenal chief when questioned on their interest.
Whilst Ferguson hasn’t spoken about transfer rumours surrounding the player, the Manchester United manager got to see the 20-year-old’s talents first-hand in a League Cup quarter-final match last season at Old Trafford.
The youngster inspired Palace to a shock victory on the night, and his stock at Selhurst Park has risen dramatically ever since.
Were he to choose Manchester United over their north London rivals, he’d join fellow England internationals Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick, Ashley Young and Tom Cleverley in the squad, and complete a dramatic rise to the top of the Premier League.
